Daily Racing Form - Kentucky Derby Trail 2004 - Derby Watch: "Borrego comes off a second-place finish to Master David in the Sham. His trainer, Beau Greely, said Victor Espinoza would take over for the Louisiana Derby, replacing Tyler Baze.
'We're learning a little with every start,' Greely said Wednesday. 'I think he took the lead too soon last time. I think he'll get better with distance. Fair Grounds has a nice, long stretch. You can make up ground there.' "
Interesting that Greely said the same thing about this horse that I did. He needs a more patient rider. Victor is really coming on strong - so watch out in the LA Derby with this horse.
